Program Participation Rules

These Program Participation Rules (the “Rules”) apply to all programs, initiatives, events, trainings, research activities, community engagements, and capacity‑building activities organized or operated by Ciconia Pathways (collectively, the “Programs”).

Ciconia Pathways is a non‑profit Association focused on community development, knowledge exchange, research, dialogue, and social impact initiatives. Its Programs are competitive and are based on judging, ranking, mentoring assignments, prizes, or awards unless explicitly stated in a specific Program description.

Participation in any Program is subject to these Rules, the Ciconia Pathways Website Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, Code of Conduct, and any additional program‑specific guidelines communicated from time to time (together, the “Applicable Policies”).

For the purposes of these Rules, all individuals or entities applying to or participating in a Program—whether as participants, contributors, speakers, researchers, volunteers, or attendees—are referred to as “Participants.”

  • Skills learning and sharing

Ciconia Pathways reserves the right to limit participation where capacity constraints or eligibility requirements apply.

3. Ineligible Participation

  • Information provided is false, misleading, or incomplete
  • Participation would violate legal, contractual, or ethical obligations
  • The individual has previously been removed from a Ciconia Pathways activity for serious misconduct

Ciconia Pathways is not required to provide justification or feedback where participation is declined for administrative or eligibility reasons.

Late or incomplete registrations may not be accepted.

5. Nature of Programs

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • Programs are skills-based and, depending on the pre-defined persona of acceptance, it is a competitive program where applications will be evaluated
  • judging, scoring, ranking, or selection of participants will take place
  • Participation does not guarantee continued involvement in future activities
  • Ciconia Pathways does not provide mentoring, investment, financial rewards, or prizes as part of standard Programs

Any deviation from the above will be clearly communicated in writing for the relevant Program.

6. Participant Conduct and Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

  • Act respectfully, professionally, and in good faith
  • Comply with the Code of Conduct and all Applicable Policies
  • Respect diversity, inclusion, and differing perspectives

Ciconia Pathways reserves the right to remove any Participant whose conduct is inconsistent with its values or policies.

7. Intellectual Property and Use of Materials

Participants retain ownership of their pre‑existing intellectual property.

By participating, Participants grant Ciconia Pathways a limited, non‑exclusive right to use non‑confidential materials (such as names, biographies, photos, or contributions) solely for Program administration, documentation, reporting, and non‑commercial communication purposes, unless the Participant objects where legally permitted.

Participants must not use or share third‑party intellectual property without authorization.

8. Confidentiality

Participants may receive information that is confidential or sensitive in nature. Such information must not be disclosed without authorization, unless required by law.

Recordings, documents, or materials shared during Programs may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written permission from Ciconia Pathways.
